Updates for Slovakia

May 2004 through August 2005

Church Records In Slovakia  | FHL Holdings Page | FHL Catalog (offsite)

This is my update of new Slovakia records added to the Mormon's Family History Library collection from May 1, 2004 through August 31, 2005.  See FHL Holdings Page for a more extensive list of the FHL's collection of Slovakia records of interest to genealogists.

The Family History Library added (or modified) records during the period of May 1, 2004 through August 31, 2005.  The data contained herein was derived from an August 31st report.  The FHL Cataloguer has informed me that the films are available for ordering now.  However, the web card catalog has not yet been updated by the FHL technicians.  In many cases the online catalog is a year or more out of date. However, many local Family History Centers are hesitant or refuse to order films they cannot find in the catalog.  My suggestion is to print out the supporting information and ask him/her to check with Salt Lake City.  Patience is the keyword!

The aforementioned items have been catalogued, but the on-line web index has not been updated.

Further information is available in downloadable files for both new and updated records.

The raw data reports are found here: Slovak records May 2004 to Aug 2005 (txt file)

NEW RECORD ENTRIES

New records describe recently added films and available for distribution.  The may or may not be in the FHL web catalog.

Further catalog information, including film numbers is located in a downloadable New Records spreadsheet:
