Updates for Slovakia

August 2005 through June 2006

Church Records In Slovakia  | FHL Holdings Page | FHL Catalog (offsite)

A SPECIAL NOTE - PLEASE WRITE THE FHL IF YOU WANT TO SEE MORE SLOVAKIA RECORDS

This is my update of new Slovakia records added to the Mormon's Family History Library (FHL) collection from August 31, 2005 through June 30, 2006.  I conduct this survey regularly as there is no easy way to query the FHL catalog to determine what records are new.  See FHL Holdings Page for a more extensive list of the FHL's collection of Slovakia records of interest to genealogists as well as prior year's updates.

The Family History Library added (or modified) a total of 84 records during the period.  Of those, 28 are new records.  The remaining records had changes made to their catalog entries.  The data contained herein was derived from a June 30th report.  These films have a record status of "authorized", which means they are available for ordering now.  However, the web card catalog has not yet been updated by the FHL technicians.  In many cases the online catalog is a year or more out of date. However, many local Family History Centers are hesitant or refuse to order films they cannot find in the catalog.  My suggestion is to print out the supporting information and ask him/her to check with Salt Lake City.  Patience is the keyword!
